Dr. Glen Albaugh, former head golf coach at University of the Pacific and now author of the book "Winning the Battle Within.”

As an ex college golf coach of the University of The Pacific, 71-92 - and currently a sport psychology consultant for golfers, the Junior Golf Association of Northern California has been, and is, an integral part of my professional life. As a coach I found the Association to be a fertile recruiting ground that I’m sure it is for college coaches today.
The JGANC has a history of administering well-organized tournaments and has been recognized as one of the best junior golf organizations in the country. Many alumni have used the JGANC as a starting place for their college and professional careers. Rest assured, if you play most of your competitions regionally - not all can afford the national tournament scene - coaches will know who you are. With the Internet such as it is no one goes unnoticed.
My recommendations are to play as often as you can. Practice with due diligence, work with competent teachers, keep your college dreams is sight, and by all means enjoy your time as a junior golfer. And, The Junior Gold Association of Northern California is a great place to do just that.”
