Volunteer Positions
Rules Officials
A rules official has working knowledge of the Rules of Golf and significant on-course experience. Rules officials are authorized to decide questions of fact and apply the Rules of Golf. A rules official may: assist players with rules, help with course setup or marking. Training and certification are required.
Starters
Starters main responsibility is to ensure that all players tee off at their respective tee times. They provide players with all the information they need for the round, hand out scorecards, and announce the players off the first tee. Onsite training is provided for this role.
Registration
Registration volunteers play a key role in making sure all players have arrived and make it to the first tee on time. They will check players in, hand out range balls/tee gifts/bag tags and communicate with the starter if needed.
Shuttle Drivers
Shuttle drivers are needed when there is a long walk from players either to another hole or to the driving range.
Live Scorer
Live Scorers will sit on holes 5, 10 and 15 to record players’ scores as they come through and upload them to a tablet, so it can be viewed online.
