Developing friendships, golf, and life skills through competitive junior golf tournaments, the Junior Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC) is a nonprofit organization that has been creating champions since 1970 through a variety of fun, competitive, and affordable junior golf tournaments for boys and girls ages 7 to 18. With the JGANC, your child will have the opportunity and experiences necessary to grow and excel in golf – and in life.

The Junior Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC) is a nonprofit organization that has been creating champions since 1970 through a variety of fun, competitive, and affordable junior golf tournaments for boys and girls ages 7 to 18. With the JGANC, your child will have the opportunity and experiences necessary to grow and excel in golf – and in life.

With 70-plus tournaments per year, youth have the option to compete locally, regionally and nationally. JGANC tournaments are held throughout Northern California at a variety of public, semi-private and private courses. Silverado Resort and Spa, Castlewood Country Club, Del Rio Country Club, Woodbridge Golf & Country Club, Los Altos Country Clubs, The Club at Ruby Hill, Baylands Golf Links and Spring Creek Golf and Country Club are just a few of the amazing courses where our tournaments are held. In recent years, our prestige Tournament of Champions had been held at The Club at Ruby Hill, Silverado Resort, Del Rio Country Club & Rancho Murieta CC. Venues are always subject to change, but no matter where our tournaments are hosted, players are given a world-class experience.

The JGANC community of players, parents and volunteers are helpful and supportive. Many of our alumni go on to attend colleges and universities across the nation on golf scholarships. We offer tools and insight to help in process of finding the right collegiate opportunities. You will find that many former juniors have gone on to play on the PGA/LPGA tours, are Class-A Professionals, and are in other golf related businesses.

The culture of JGANC is open and friendly, while committed to excellence and results. Our tournaments are affordable to ensure accessibility for all junior golfers.

As a non-profit organization, the JGANC is supported by a vast network of volunteers who are passionate about junior golf. Our Board Members, Associate Directors and Tournament Directors spend countless hours creating a variety of tournament experiences specifically designed for junior golfers.

Many junior programs are affiliated with adult golf associations. While we work closely with the NCGA and the NCPGA, we are an independent entity. We are solely supported by donations and membership dues, a financial model that has allowed us to grow and serve the junior golfing community since 1970.

Most of our tournaments are not based on performance! There are always opportunities for interested juniors to play and improve their skills in our tournaments. Players at all levels will find they are welcome and given every opportunity to succeed.
