CALIFORNIA STATE JUNIOR AMATEUR
The California State Junior is an annual event that is coordinated jointly with the Junior Golf Association of Southern California (SCPGA). This 36-hole stroke play event is hosted on alternate years by the SCPGA and the JGANC and rotates between Northern and Southern California.
Invitations to qualified juniors are sent after the JGANC/NCGA NorCal Player’s Championship. Typically, there are some invitations that are declined, and some qualified SCPGA Junior Tour players may also decline. When invitations are declined, we move down the points list to the next available player(s).
GIRLS CALIFORNIA STATE JUNIOR AMATEUR SELECTION CRITERIA
Invitations are sent to JGANC membership based on age and total team points. Participants must be 14-18 years of age to receive an invitation. The host committee determines the number of invitations allowed.
JGANC members earn an invitation by (1) being among the top 40 eligible girls in Team Points. Team points are accumulated from events after the NorCal Players Championship in the previous through the NorCal Players Championship of the current year.
