JGANC BOYS MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
JGANC Match Play is a boys match play championship usually held in June. Each will conduct a 2-day stroke play qualifying where the 16 low medalist in boys age divisions (12-13, 14-15, 16-18) will go on to match play. The champion in each age bracket will be invited to the Tournament of Champions at the end of the season, usually October or November. View history here.
NORCAL PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP
The NorCal Players Championship is a tournament co-sponsored by the two most important golf organizations in Northern California, the JGANC and the NCGA (Northern California Golf Association). In 2026, this event will be held at the Reserve at Spanos Park Golf Club utilizing the Stableford scoring system, this tournament has quickly become one of the two premiere tournaments the JGANC has on its schedule.
THE TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
The Tournament of Champions, also known as the TOC, is a special event taking place each year near the end of the season. 2026 TOC will be held at The Club at Ruby Hill, Pleasanton CA. The TOC is by invitation only. You must win an overall championship (not age group) in a Points event on the JGANC calendar to be considered for an invitation. Following this 18-hole event an awards banquet takes place. At this ceremony we review our year and introduce our teams, scholarship recipients, point’s champions, players of the year and special guests. It is truly a wonderful occasion.
A player with a “NS” status will NOT be considered for this Invitational event.
Player of the Year are awarded for players with top points in the following divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Girls 16-18 & Girls 14-15
Player of the Year selection timeline: Based on divisional points tabulated from 1/1/26 through 11/8/26.
ALL START CHAMPIONSHIP
Each year juniors having the best golf performances in their age group are invited to a special event called the All Stars Championship. It is an 18 and 9-hole event and includes a lovely awards banquet. Juniors invited are the guests of the JGANC. To be invited to the All Stars Championship is often the goal set by many of our younger juniors. It is an honor to receive an invitation as there are only 40 invitations sent.
A player with a “NS” status will NOT be considered for this Invitational event.
INVITATION SPORTS
Boys 7-9: 6 invitations
Boys 10-11: 6 invitations
Boys 12-13: 6 invitations
Girls 7-9: 6 invitations
Girls 10-11: 6 invitations
Girls 12-13: 6 invitations
These numbers may vary depending on ties and point totals in the various age groups. When points are earned from 2 different divisions due to the player having a birthday and jump up a division, these points will be combined.
Invitations to the All Stars Championship are sent to juniors finishing in the top of their age group following each junior golf season. This is determined by Divisional Points. Each time you receive points for your performance at any tournament on our schedule, the points are charted if you are a member at the time of the tourney. Your total may enable you to receive an invitation. Although points are the main criteria of selection, a junior’s record of no shows and poor sportsmanship would automatically disqualify a member.
Invitation will be based on divisional points tabulated from beginning of the calendar year.
