The Eddie Hogan Cup is a prestigious 36-hole team competition established in 1969 honoring legendary golf professional Eddie Hogan. Top junior boys from across the Western U.S., Canada, and Hawaii compete in this elite event. Team Northern California proudly represents the region each year against the best competition.
HOW DO YOU PLAY FOR TEAM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA?
The no. 5-8 ranked boys championship division players from the four qualifying events below will be invited to represent Northern California in the 2026 Eddie Hogan Cup. Players must be between the ages of 13-18 on Aug 9, 2026, and be a full-time California resident. Players will be chaperoned by team Captains. There is no cost to the player to participate, all travel and accommodations are provided by the JGANC.
WHERE IS THE 2026 HOGAN CUP?
The 2026 Hogan Cup is Aug 7-9, 2026 at Riverside Country Club in Portland, OR. Team Oregon and the Oregon Golf Association are the host committee.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Participating in this event helps give players more exposure during their recruiting process. With AJGA and JGS awarded for participation, it helps improve their junior golf rankings with an elite strength of field. There are over 20 college coaches from all over the country that travel to the event to find new recruits or secure a commitment. It helps prepare juniors to be play in high level team events which will help them transition to the college level easier.

The JGANC Teams will be determined by the results of these 6 qualifying events. Players can earn team points to qualify for the JGANC Team.

After the last event, boys with the most points from all six events will be totaled, and the top 4 players will have the first choice of which team they would like to play on. We will move down the list until all teams have been filled.
