JGANC offers fair and competitive play for junior golfers ages 7–18. Members compete in age-appropriate divisions based on their age as of the final day of the tournament. JGANC members must play in the proper division based on their age on the date of the tournament. If the tournament is a multi-day event, the age is based on the last day of the tournament. SCORING REQUIREMENTS
Players must be tournament ready in order to compete in our events. This includes understanding and implementing proper golf course etiquette/course management and being able to achieve the score criteria below.
- Ages 12-18: 115 or better on an 18-hole, par 72 course.
- Ages 7-11: +20 over par or better on a 9-hole course.
Players who do not meet these criteria are kindly asked to continue improving their game/development before playing in our events.
YARDAGES
Yardages will vary depending on golf course/tournament. Each tournament will have a yardage-specific tab for each division and golf course.
Boys
- 7-9 – under forward tee, ~1900 yards
- 10-11 – red or forward tee, ~2000 yards
- 12-13 – white tee, ~5700 yards
- 14-15 – blue tee, ~6600+ yards
- 16-18 – blue tee, ~6600+ yards
Girls
- 7-9 – under forward tee, ~1900 yards
- 10-11 – red or forward tee, ~2000 yards
- 12-13 – middle tee, ~5600 yards
- 14-15 – red tee, ~5800 yards
- 16-18 – red tee, ~5800 yards
